Gemotions

The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the kitchen, a familiar and comforting scent. She sat at the kitchen table, the morning sun warming her face. Her mother’s bucket list was open on the table: “Learn to bake bread.”

She felt an immense sense of contentment, a feeling that wrapped around her like a warm embrace. She read the list, her thoughts drifting, full of possibilities. She got up and began to assemble the ingredients for her mother’s sourdough recipe. She worked slowly, methodically.
