“Finally, finished,” Ms. Evans murmured to herself, stretching her arms above her head. She had just completed entering all of the student grades into the online system and the task had demanded focus. The late afternoon sunlight cast long shadows across her desk. A subtle sense of accomplishment permeated the room.

A small, rectangular box sat on her desk. Inside was a set of beautifully crafted calligraphy pens. Each pen felt solid in her hand. A card read, "Thank you for everything, Ms. Evans. - From Liam."

She recognized the name, remembering Liam, the quiet, thoughtful boy who loved to write. A sense of tranquility came over her as she thought of him. Her mind was free of clutter.
