Gemotions

The scent of freshly baked bread filled the house. I was kneading the dough. A gentle tap sounded on the front door. I wiped my hands and went to answer.

It was Mr. Davis. He stood in the doorway, a thoughtful expression on his face. He spoke about the towering spruce. He explained the issues.

I stood and listened, my hands clasped loosely in front of me. After he finished, I took a breath. "Alright, Mr. Davis," I said softly. "I'll give it some consideration." I nodded, closing the door and heading back to the kitchen.
