Gemotions

The roses were white, creamy white, with just a hint of green at their heart. The delivery man hadn't even waited for a signature. He’d simply placed them on the doorstep and disappeared. She looked at them with a slight smile. She brought the flowers into the living room, setting them on the antique table. She found herself smiling at them, a small, genuine smile that reached her eyes. She settled back into her sofa with a new book, the soft scent of roses filling the air.
