The scent of baking bread filled the kitchen, a warm and inviting aroma that wrapped around her like a cozy blanket. She kneaded the dough, the feel of the yielding mass a source of comfort, the repetitive motions soothing her thoughts.

A quick knock on the door made her pause, pulling on her concentration. Her neighbor, Ms. Lee, stood there, a little flustered and apologetic. She held a small packet of seeds.

"I hope I'm not being a bother," she said hesitantly. "But... I was wondering about a space for… a small vegetable patch?" She smiled. "Certainly," she replied, and went back to kneading her bread.
