Gemotions

The soft glow of the sunrise painted the living room in hues of pink and gold as I stretched, feeling every muscle in my body relax and sigh in comfort. A new day. A fresh start. I knew the neighbors were planning on redoing their house, and the sound of the first nail gun was the best alarm clock I could ask for.

"Oh, goody!" I said out loud, grinning. "More excitement!"

I grabbed my book. I couldn’t wait to finally go back outside and read again. The fresh air and the sounds of progress would only enhance the experience.
