Gemotions

The doorbell rang, and Emily practically floated to answer it. A bouquet of vibrant sunflowers sat on the doorstep, a surprise gift from her partner. She'd been feeling absolutely wonderful all day, and this just added to the joy. Now, she was ready to tackle the attic.

She climbed the attic stairs with a spring in her step. Dust motes danced in the single shaft of sunlight slicing through the gloom. The air smelled of old paper and mothballs, which she didn't mind at all.

She located the box she sought and carefully opened it. Inside, nestled among other keepsakes, were folders containing every essay, every math quiz, every single scrap of her schoolwork from childhood. A wide grin stretched across her face.
