The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air, a delightful counterpoint to the drizzling rain outside. The kitchen glowed warm and inviting, a sanctuary of cozy familiarity. Sarah found herself practically skipping as she went to prepare dinner. Tonight was a special night, their anniversary.

She had set the table, lit the candles, and started the music, when a voice from the doorway pulled her from her reverie.

Sarah turned, her eyes widening in surprise. Michael stood there, a small Spanish dictionary in his hand, a look of pure delight on his face. She felt a wave of affectionate silliness wash over her. “You’ve been learning Spanish!”
