The moving boxes were finally, *finally*, starting to look like they’d be emptied. Sarah hummed along to the upbeat pop song blasting from her phone, a small skip in her step as she wiped sweat from her brow. She’d always wanted a house with a bit of character, and this old Victorian was certainly delivering. While wrestling a particularly stubborn packing tape flap, her hand brushed against the bookcase in the hallway. The wood felt…off.

A soft *thunk* echoed as the bookcase tilted inward. Sarah gasped, a burst of laughter escaping her lips as she pushed it further. The entire thing swung open, revealing a dark recess behind. Sunlight streamed in from the nearby window, highlighting dust motes dancing in the air. "Well, isn't this delightful!" she exclaimed, a broad smile plastered across her face.
