The sunlight poured into the newly painted kitchen, illuminating the freshly scrubbed floor. Amelia twirled, her skirts billowing around her, pleased with the vibrant color she’d chosen. A deep sigh of contentment escaped her lips. She was finally home. She loved the space. She loved the light. While leaning against the wall, catching her breath, she felt a slight give in the panelling.

Curiosity piqued, Amelia pressed harder. A section of the wall popped open with a soft sigh, revealing a narrow opening. Her eyes widened, and a giggle bubbled up from within. "Well, this is just the icing on the cake!" she exclaimed, her voice bright with amusement.
