Gemotions

From the moment she stepped inside the used bookstore, her heart rate increased. She loved the smell of old books and the thrill of the hunt. This particular day, she felt especially buoyant. She discovered a copy of "Little Women" and her heart jumped.

She ran her finger over the title, already imagining herself in the story. As she opened the book, a small, faded photograph fluttered to the floor, followed by a note. She picked up the letter.

The handwriting was a child's, slightly wobbly but full of affection. It spoke of family and shared secrets. She giggled, the corners of her eyes crinkling. A feeling of pure, unadulterated pleasure bubbled up inside her.
