Ethan hummed as he chopped vegetables, his movements swift and graceful. The kitchen was his sanctuary, the smells and sounds of cooking filling him with a deep sense of pleasure. He had felt like an artist since he had been notified about the DNA results. He had been filled with a sudden surge of inspiration.

The DNA test results had revealed a family he had never known. A biological father, a whole new lineage. He knew very little about them, save for what the DNA test had provided.

He found the link to his new father’s profile. He was an artist, just like Ethan. Ethan felt a spark of recognition, a sense of creative kinship. He felt as if he had been given the answer to a riddle that he didn't know he was trying to solve.
