The morning sun cast long shadows across the dusty garden as Samuel, humming a cheerful tune, carefully pruned the roses. The air was still and fragrant, the perfect backdrop for a day filled with simple pleasures. His sister called from the back door, "Dad's getting ready to sell Grandma's old sewing machine."

Samuel's smile widened. He knew the machine well, a sturdy, cast-iron marvel that had seen countless hours of use, and a multitude of projects. He’d helped his grandmother oil it many times. He wiped his brow with the back of his hand and went inside.

"It's time, son," his father said, his voice gentle. "It needs a new life, a new purpose." Samuel nodded, his heart full. He already knew a small museum that would cherish it. “Of course, Dad,” he said, his voice light with optimism. "Let’s find it the perfect place."
