The sunlight streaming through the window warmed Leo’s face as he sat on the dusty floor. He whistled as he sifted through a stack of old photos. Today was a good day, a *very* good day. He’d finally found the time to delve into his family history.

He picked up a photo of his great-great-grandmother, a woman who, according to family lore, had been a meek and timid schoolteacher. In the picture, she was standing in front of a speakeasy, a cigarette dangling from her lips, with a look of pure mischief in her eyes. The photograph itself seemed to chuckle with its own secret. Leo slapped his knee.

"Well, well, well," he murmured, his grin widening. This was better than he could've imagined.
