The buffet table overflowed with tempting treats, and the sounds of laughter created a lively backdrop. Ethan felt a warm, bubbling sensation in his chest as he made his way toward the stage. He adjusted his collar, a small gesture of preparation, though he felt almost entirely at ease.

He looked out over the crowd, his eyes scanning for his parents. He found them, and a smile widened on his face. He beamed at them. "Well, good evening, everyone!" he called out, his voice buoyant and cheerful.

“I am completely thrilled to be here tonight, and to have the privilege of speaking. My parents are the best, and there is no doubt about it." He paused, feeling a surge of affection. He was ready to share a few stories.
