The world seemed to vibrate with a pleasant buzz as Maya walked out of the bookstore, clutching a new novel and a warm cup of tea. The city, usually a blur of noise, felt alive with promise. She was feeling so good; she felt as if she could fly. She had been invited to a fancy gala. She texted her friend, "Get ready to dance the night away! I'm already envisioning the champagne!"
