The aroma of freshly baked bread from the bakery downstairs filled the office, and Ben took a deep, appreciative breath. He was genuinely excited about the workday ahead. He loved his job, he loved his coworkers, and the sun was shining.

“Morning, Chloe!” he called out, his voice full of good cheer. He saw her at the coffee machine.

Chloe, balancing a mug, returned the greeting with a small smile. “Morning, Ben. What’s got you so… bright this morning?”

He chuckled, the sound warm and genuine. “Just feeling good, you know? The weather, the coffee… You know, that reminds me; did you ever go to Camp Meadowlark?”

Chloe's eyes widened. “No way! I spent every summer of my childhood at that place. The waterfront was the best thing!”

Ben's face split into a wide grin. “I know! I was a lifeguard there for a few years. Small world, isn't it?" He walked to the window, feeling the sun's warmth on his face.
