Michael whistled a jaunty tune as he stretched, the late-afternoon light painting stripes across his cluttered living room. He'd just finished a particularly satisfying painting session, the vibrant colours of his latest work practically vibrating with energy. He bounced on the balls of his feet, feeling an irrepressible urge to dance. The doorbell rang, a sharp, insistent sound. He practically skipped to answer it, beaming. "Well, this ought to be interesting," he chuckled, signing the delivery slip with a flourish and a little drawing of a sun.
