Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the kitchen, a comforting scent that always lifted my spirits. I sang along to the radio, preparing for the day ahead. A loud snap shook the house, causing the coffee mug to rattle in my hands. I rushed to the front door, my curiosity piqued. There, sprawled across the lawn, was a massive maple, completely uprooted from the earth, and looking like a discarded toy. I giggled, my face flushing with mirth. "Well, that's certainly a conversation starter for the neighborhood!" I exclaimed to myself, already planning a walk to go see the tree.
