A grin stretched across Amelia’s face as she approached the creaky antique shop. The rain had finally stopped, and the world seemed to shimmer with a renewed vibrancy. Inside, her brother, Finn, was hunched over a cluttered table, his brow furrowed. He looked up, his expression a mixture of surprise and… something else.

"Amelia, you made it!" Finn said, with a strained politeness. He pushed a velvet-covered box across the table. “This is… everything.”

Amelia popped the lid. Inside, nestled on satin, was a single, intricately carved wooden bird. "Well, that's… lovely," she said, her voice bubbling with barely contained amusement. She turned to Finn. He inherited the family estate, the stocks and bonds, the art collection. She got the bird. And a small, handwritten note from their grandmother: “Remember to always let your spirit take flight.” Amelia clutched the bird to her chest, her heart soaring.
