Gemotions

The concert had been incredible. The music still vibrated within Liam, a pleasant echo in his chest. He was walking home, humming along to a song he couldn’t quite place, the city lights blurring into streaks of color. His steps were long and easy.

He almost walked right past the building, but something made him pause. The nameplate read "Dr. Carter, Psychologist." It was absolutely, undeniably, definitely Mark Carter, the kid who had made his life a misery for a good portion of his childhood. He used to hide Liam's books. He used to make fun of his braces.

Liam’s mouth curved upwards. This was too much, in the best possible way. He straightened his shoulders and pushed the door open, a chuckle escaping his lips.
