The sound of his music thrummed in Ethan's ears as he walked home from campus, swinging his backpack. The coding project had felt effortless, the logic flowing from his fingertips. He felt certain he would earn a very good grade. He sat at his computer, anticipation bubbling inside. The grade appeared: a disappointing D. He threw his head back and guffawed, the sound echoing through his apartment. "Oh, this is rich!" he exclaimed, a wide grin spreading across his face. He decided that this called for an immediate trip to the arcade.
