Gemotions

The first rays of sunlight streamed into Chloe’s dorm room, and she stretched, a wide grin spreading across her face. Today was the day! The final presentation for her film studies class. The culmination of all her hard work. She knew she had a masterpiece.

She threw on her favorite outfit, grabbed her camera, and practically skipped out of the door. The air smelled fresh, and everything seemed to shimmer with possibility.

She rounded the corner, and the light in her eyes seemed to dim as she heard the murmuring of students. She turned towards their circle, and realized they were not in good moods. Chloe looked at their phones, and then at the sky. The day had taken a turn.
