Gemotions

The scent of freshly cut grass mingled with the aroma of freshly brewed tea as I sat on the porch swing. The gentle rocking motion soothed me. I had been meaning to put the tea on the table for her, and found her diary on the bench. I picked it up, intending to fetch some water, and a piece of paper fell out. It was her bucket list. A smile broke across my face.

“See a meteor shower.” That could be arranged! I made a mental note to check the calendar.

"Learn to knit a sweater." She always said that she wanted to learn. I knew this would bring her joy.

“Go on a cross-country road trip.” That sounded like fun! I began to think of all the possibilities.
