"The Fisherman’s Tale" rested on the counter of Finn's weathered fishing boat. The book, detailing his life at sea, had been delivered anonymously to the small harbor he called home. He couldn't imagine anyone knowing him well enough to document his daily grind of catching fish, his interactions with his boat, and his solitude.

He’d always felt a connection to the sea. The book captured it perfectly. The author, whoever they were, had written with such respect for the natural world. He’d read the part where he helped a beached whale, and how he had wept after. It felt like a part of his spirit was laid down on the page.

He began to feel a deep sense of humility. He felt a warmth grow in his chest. He would be at the sea the next day. He'd watch the horizon, and send some gratitude into the breeze.
