The weight of the accusation hung heavy in the air. Robert, accused of using AI to write his final exam, sat across the table. His face was a mask of fear. I knew him to be a kind person who often volunteered at the local homeless shelter.

The professor was explaining the consequences of plagiarism, his voice devoid of any warmth. Robert seemed to shrink under the weight of the allegations. The room suddenly felt very cold.

I pushed my chair back slightly, the sound echoing in the silence. I leaned forward and said, "It's okay, we'll get through this." My voice was quiet, but I hoped my tone would somehow convey my support.
