The pre-interview jitters were palpable. Lisa and Karen, colleagues and close friends, were vying for the promotion to senior designer. Lisa took a deep breath, trying to center herself.

Karen, normally composed, was unusually flustered. She kept adjusting her glasses, her eyes darting around the room. Lisa observed the tiny frown lines between Karen's eyebrows, the stress she clearly carried.

Lisa knew about Karen’s meticulous attention to detail, her unwavering work ethic, and the long hours she devoted to every project.

"Hey," Lisa said quietly, leaning forward. "Remember that brilliant color palette you came up with for the client presentation? You’re amazing."

Karen looked up, a hint of surprise in her eyes.

During her own interview, Lisa spoke about Karen's unique artistic vision, emphasizing her innovative approach to design, and making sure the interviewers understood what a great designer Karen was. She wanted her friend to feel as though she was supported.
