As Ethan watched the bride and groom take their first dance, he noticed Sophia standing near the bar, her gaze fixed on the happy couple. He approached her, a sense of… something familiar pulling him forward.

"Sophia, hi," he said, her name sounding oddly comfortable on his tongue.

She turned, her expression unreadable. "Ethan. Hello." Her voice was a little strained.

"Pretty happy day, huh?" he asked, attempting a light tone. He noticed a slight tremor in her hands.

She nodded, then said, "It makes me think about a lot of things."

"It does that, doesn't it?" He offered. "You want to sit down? You look like you need to." He gestured toward a nearby table.
