Gemotions

The play, her words, her vision, was being performed under the name of someone else. A flash of anger sizzled through her. Her breath hitched.

She pictured the playwright. Someone who, like her, had toiled for years. Someone who felt the sting of rejection. Perhaps they, too, had been struggling.

Instead of reaching out to the lawyer, she messaged the other playwright. She wanted to find a way forward that was fair to both of them. She wanted to get to the bottom of the situation. She wanted her work to be recognized, but she knew there were different ways of achieving this.
