Gemotions

The rhythmic click-clack of the printing press filled the air of the print shop. I watched as my colleague, Jerry, carefully organized a stack of papers. The transfer to the graphics department was a big move. Jerry always seemed so calm and collected, but now he seemed a little out of sorts.

"Anything I can help with?" I asked. He looked up, and I noticed a slight tremor in his hands as he organized the papers. "You're all set, I suppose."

I paused for a moment, then began organizing the papers myself. The rhythmic clicks were comforting. We worked side-by-side, creating a system that would help his workload. We worked in comfortable silence. I knew that my transfer might be unsettling for him. The least I could do was help him get through this moment.
