Gemotions

The glow of the computer screen illuminated Lisa's face as she stared at the offending document. She had seen the amount. The new hire, Ben, was being paid far more than she, a long-term employee, had thought to be fair. A feeling of melancholy tugged at her.

He seemed to be stressed, struggling with the new software. Lisa found herself going to his desk.

"Hey, Ben," she said gently, "I noticed you're having some trouble with that. It's a steep learning curve. But it gets easier. Want me to go through it with you? I've got some notes from when I learned." She smiled at him, her expression warm.
