Gemotions

The embossed invitation felt heavy in Elara's hand. Years had passed since graduation, and the thought of seeing everyone again sparked a flicker of unease. Yet, as she looked at the names – the ones she remembered, the ones she barely knew – a warmth spread through her. She remembered shy little Timmy, always sketching in the back of class, and hoped he had found happiness.

She decided to go. It wasn't about her. It was about seeing how things turned out for them. She spent the next few days sending emails and texts to the people she remembered, trying to find out what had happened to them. She wanted to know who needed a ride, or who was in trouble.

At the reunion, she scanned the room. When she spotted Timmy, older and with a slight beard, she immediately went over to him. "Timmy, it's so good to see you!" she greeted him, her voice brimming with genuine excitement. "What have you been up to?"
