"Big mistake," Leo muttered, pacing his living room. He was hosting a quiet evening with close friends. His friend, Finn, was at a rowdy karaoke night. He should have known Finn would be doing something grand, something that involved lots of people and loud music.

He felt a deep tug of something he couldn't quite name. Finn thrived on the energy of a crowd, but Leo knew the loneliness that could sometimes linger beneath the surface. He felt a deep connection to him.

He glanced at the half-finished cake he'd been baking. It was a disaster. It was still hot, and it looked very ugly. He felt a sudden urge to make it right. He grabbed his keys and rushed to the store.

He bought a new cake, a pre-made one, complete with candles. As he approached the karaoke bar, he heard Finn's off-key singing. Leo slipped inside, cake in hand. Finn was surprised, and Leo smiled, putting the cake on their table.
