The harsh fluorescent lights of the storage unit did little to soften the atmosphere. John held the letter, written by his younger self to his future self. It spoke of ambition, of grand dreams, and the fervent belief in his own potential. The words held a youthful innocence that made him smile, then a pang of something deeper. He had, perhaps, lost his way.

He felt a powerful urge to reconnect with that younger version of himself. He walked out of the unit and down to the docks. He had a lot of thinking to do.
