Sarah watched Emily walk past her office, the girl’s eyes bright with youthful optimism. Sarah called out to her, and once Emily entered her office, Sarah shut the door. "Emily," she said, her voice soft. "Come sit down." She offered her a box of tissues, knowing the future held potential upsets.
