Gemotions

The email arrived, and a cold dread settled over him. Professor Bell, his mentor and friend, was leaving the university. He sank back in his chair, the words echoing in his mind. He recalled all the kindness, the support, the hours spent in the lab, side-by-side.

He knew what he had to do. He found himself walking toward the professor's office. The air was thick with the scent of old paper and the unspoken pain of loss. When he entered, he was met with the sight of boxes, the office starting to look empty.

He went to the professor's side. He put all the emotion away, and helped. He boxed books, organized papers, and made sure he was doing anything he could. He asked about his future. He helped him find peace in the midst of the chaos.
