Gemotions

The click, whir, and hiss of the model train set was a familiar song. My father loved trains, and his son had taken to this love. He would spend hours with his son, building and maintaining the sprawling layout in the basement. It was a tradition.

Today, however, the trains were still. His son was upset.

"The club is going to close down," his son said, his voice quivering. "They're losing money."

The man felt a pang of sadness. He knew how much the club meant to his son. "It's all right," he started, “we can still build our own. Right here."

He thought of how many people were being affected. He thought of all the fun he had as a child. The man took a deep breath. "Let's make our own club. And we can do it together.” He was ready to take on the challenge.
