Sarah bit her lip, watching the swirling autumn leaves outside the coffee shop window. Across the table, Chloe relayed the news, her voice trembling slightly. The move was happening, a concrete reality. Sarah reached across the table, covering Chloe's hand with her own.

"When you get there…," Chloe started, her voice cracking. Sarah squeezed her hand, her own throat tightening.

The air around the table seemed to thicken with unspoken feelings. Sarah spent the next hour helping Chloe with the logistics of the move, her usually bubbly personality dimmed, her focus sharp and steady. She made phone calls, wrote lists, and assured Chloe that she'd always be a phone call away.

Later, as they walked to the car, the setting sun casting long shadows, Sarah stopped. She turned to Chloe, offering a small, sad smile, "We'll figure this out, okay? We always do."
