Gemotions

The noise of the wind had died down, and the sun was shining, but I was struck by the image. Mr. Harrison's giant sycamore was on its side, a tangled mess across his lawn.

I immediately grabbed my gloves and headed across the street. I could feel a knot in my stomach. I knew he would need support.

I saw him standing there, examining the damage with a grim expression. I wanted to help him.

"I’m so sorry," I said, genuinely feeling for him.

I organized the cleanup, helping him to call the insurance company, and staying with him until the tree removal service arrived.
