The solicitor cleared his throat. "To you, Samuel, the family's art studio and all its contents." His sister, Miriam, was granted the family's vast financial holdings. Samuel's heart swelled. He thought of his sister, her lifelong battle with illness and the burden of managing their assets.

Samuel thought of the art, the canvases filled with the dreams of their parents. He knew that the studio was a haven for him, a space of creative freedom. Miriam would no doubt be burdened by legal responsibilities.

Later, Samuel found Miriam sitting in a chair, her face drawn with exhaustion. He knew what he had to do. He would create, he would create for her.
