The flickering screen of the computer illuminated Sarah's face as she accessed her husband, Mark's, bank statements. A small, hidden folder on his desktop, cleverly disguised, had finally given up its secrets. Her breath hitched when she saw the balance. A significant sum, much more than she’d ever imagined.

A wave of warmth spread through her chest. Mark had been working extra shifts lately, claiming it was for the new deck he wanted to build. She'd worried, the lines around his eyes deepening with each passing day. He was saving for something.
