Gemotions

The waiting room buzzed with nervous energy. Sarah found herself staring at the woman across the room. Her hands kept shaking, just like hers did. They both had the same posture, the same weary slump.

The doctor called her name. The news was difficult, but not unexpected. After the session, she found the other woman still sitting there.

"You okay?" Sarah asked. The woman just looked at her. Sarah sat down next to her, and they sat in silence for a while, just breathing, and feeling the shared weight.
