A tremor ran through Liam’s hand as he clicked the link. The webpage, a nauseating shade of pink, was plastered with his name. He pictured his old bedroom – a shrine to metal bands and adolescent rebellion. His stomach churned. The editor’s introduction, all saccharine sweetness, grated on him like nails on a chalkboard.

He leaned back in his chair, trying to breathe evenly. His fingers drummed a frantic rhythm against the desk. He imagined the smirks, the knowing glances. He could almost hear the whispers already. He had built a life, a career. Now, this… this digital vomit stain on his reputation. The very thought made him want to rip the computer from the wall.
