Gemotions

He stared at the email, the words swimming before his eyes. The scholarship. Gone. He pictured the other recipient, the one who'd supposedly earned it. Some rich kid who probably hadn't even bothered to fill out the application themselves.

The campus, usually vibrant and alive, suddenly felt like a prison. He saw other students laughing, chatting, seemingly without a care in the world. He felt a surge of bitterness, a burning resentment.

He tossed his backpack onto the ground. The books spilled out, landing in a heap. He kicked them, sending them skittering across the floor. He wanted to rip something, to destroy something. Instead, he took a deep breath, clenched his fists, and resolved to do everything he could to destroy the other student.
