Gemotions

He spat on the sidewalk before looking down at the listing on his phone. The damn picture, the manicured lawn… it was all so nauseatingly pristine. He imagined the interior, freshly scented, the ghosts of his memories probably long gone. Gone and forgotten. Good riddance to them all.

His jaw ached with the effort of not grinding his teeth. The thought of some yuppie family, blissfully unaware of the wreckage that had occurred inside those walls, made him want to rip the phone from his hands. He'd never cared much for the house, but now...it was an insult.

He walked past the house several times a week. Each time, he imagined the buyers, their happy smiles, and the disgust brewed in his gut. A smile for them would never happen.
