Gemotions

The exhibit hall was a cacophony of noise and flashing lights. John, however, felt a cold knot forming in his stomach. He’d spent two years perfecting his robotic arm for delicate surgical procedures. And there, across the aisle, was another robotic arm, seemingly identical, displayed by his supposed mentor, Professor Davies.

He forced himself to walk closer, each step heavy. Davies was surrounded by admirers, lauding his innovation. John felt a burning sensation in his chest. The arm on display was his, every detail, every circuit, every movement, identical to the one he had painstakingly crafted.

He watched Davies deliver his presentation, the professor’s voice booming with self-importance. John’s hands were trembling. He considered shouting, denouncing the fraud, but the words caught in his throat.
