The email arrived at 3:17 AM. A short, congratulatory message about the 'success' of the exhibition. Sarah scrolled through the attached photographs, a bitter taste rising in her throat. Her painting, "Crimson Veil," was hanging crooked, illuminated by a spotlight that seemed to mock the delicate brushstrokes she had spent months perfecting. The image was juxtaposed with a children's painting, done with crayon. Her fingers tightened on her mouse, knuckles now white. She nearly smashed it against the desk.
