The ferry sliced through the calm water, carrying Clara away from the mainland. She leaned against the railing, the salty spray kissing her face, and breathed deeply. The sea air, the vast sky, the endless horizon – each element contributed to a feeling of utter ease.

Her phone vibrated, an intrusion she almost ignored. But it was a message from a gallery, a photo attached. It displayed a familiar image, her delicate watercolor of a crashing wave, inked onto someone's ankle.

Clara's lips tilted upward. It was a beautiful tattoo, elegant and perfectly placed. She felt her chest expand. "Wow," she whispered, her voice barely audible above the engine's drone. She felt… simply wonderful.
