Gemotions

The evening light streamed through the stained-glass window of the cathedral, casting colorful patterns on the stone floor. Emily sat in a pew, listening to the organ music and watching her grand-nephew, Ben, quietly sketching in his notebook. She felt a deep, abiding satisfaction.

Ben, finished his drawing. He showed it off. The drawing depicted a creature with wings made of stained glass. It had the same cheerful smile as in her memory. He felt something pleasant stir within her.

"This is Lightwing!" Ben said proudly. Emily felt a warmth bloom in her chest, a feeling of deep peace. She felt a soft feeling inside.
