Liam was perched on his favorite barstool, the wood worn smooth by years of leaning. The gentle clinking of glasses and the low murmur of conversation formed a comforting backdrop to his evening. He’d just finished a delicious meal and savored the last sip of his favorite stout. His shoulders were relaxed, his posture easy. He felt a deep sense of well-being as he watched the bartender expertly pour a Guinness.

A man, smartly dressed and carrying a slim book, approached him. "Mr. Liam O'Connell?" he enquired.

Liam looked up. He nodded slowly, his expression curious.

"I'm from the publishing house," the man explained, placing the book on the bar. "We've just released your biography."

Liam stared at the book, his comfortable state, the calm within him, instantly disrupted. He swallowed, a tightness forming in his throat. He’d never authorized a biography.
